Chinese research team synthesizes new zeolite molecular sieve to help improve energy and chemical production efficiency

On December 12, according to the official Wechat of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Process Research, the research team of this institute successfully synthesized a new type of zeolite molecular sieve - ZMQ-1, which can process larger molecules in the chemical industry, and is expected to improve the production efficiency of petrochemical, coal chemical and other industries, and effectively reduce environmental pollution. In this study, the team designed and synthesized a dual quaternary phosphate cation as an organic structure directing agent to prepare ZMQ-1 with a unique mesoporous structure that allows large molecules to easily pass through. At the same time, ZMQ-1 also has excellent thermal stability and hydrothermal stability. This achievement paper has been published online in the international academic journal Nature.
